Friday Fun Day

Good afternoon,

We actually had quite a laid back kind of day today. The only appointment that we had to keep was Jump Jam, which was nice.

For example, we were able to take time to record a favourite of mine from ages back...Lilly the Pink.



And some say Room 2 can't hold a tune!

Which reminds me, the girls showed us a bit of what they are learning in Kapa Haka.


We did try some Locating, with varying amounts of success. I think we'll try a whole class inquiry first, based on something about the Army...




I'll try to set something up for the class over the weekend.

(Trying to get around all 9 or so groups all at once to try to teach them how to do it is really really hard!)

Another Wet Wednesday

Drizzle drizzle,

Well, another busy day has been and gone. It started with a smile...


...and we carried on in the same vein.

White Reading Group performed Number One by Joy Cowley...


...while Red Reading Group created their first (for them anyway) photo book Tiger Tiger.

Then on with some R.E. (the Holy Spirit in us - how can we tell?), handwriting and way way way too short a time on how to locate information on the internet, using the RNZAF site as an example...


You don't want to pick up your children at 3:30 each day, do you?

Monday Madness

Good afternoon,

Another mad rush of a day to try to get everything packed in was had here in Room 2 today.

Bit of this...



...bit of that...


...and a bit of the other...


...whilst trying to get our Listing completed for our Inquiry.

I won't be at school tomorrow, I have an appointment that was made ages ago, but I only remembered on Sunday night! Mrs Wynn will be back in the room.

I'm sure the children will have an excellent day.
