Tron

Good evening,

Again,

Just back from Tron Legacy. It was cool! Shades of the original Tron with not a little Star Wars thrown in - there's Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker and the Emperor. There's even the Millennium Falcon being chased by Tie Fighters. Plus way cool light cycles!

Cheers,

Nick

Last Day Thursday

Good evening,

And that was the 2010 school year!

We started today with our Leavers' Mass, then, after an extended morning tea, we went outside for a litter patrol.

Then 'twas time for a quick Christmas message and a quick game of Rob the Nest.

The day ended with a bit of Muscle Bob Buff Pants.

Thank you for a fantastic year, have a happy and safe Christmas break and God bless you.

Fun Day Wednesday

Good afternoon,

We've had a bit of a busy day here today.

A few more maths activities...

...and some writing...

...the sharing of which I have taped...

Then, after morning tea, and a bit of singing practice, we went over to Room 8 to share a couple of songs.

After lunch we had a special assembly to honour Vicki's birthday. She was such a good sport about it all!

And a good time was had by all.

Pity about the picnic, but we can't help the weather!

Bye for now,

Mr Grant

Tuesday Spongepants

Good afternoon,

After a bit of maths this morning...

...the J Team piled into Room 2...

...for a bit of Sponge Bob Squarepants!

After lunch we struggled with some ICT. Specifically making a virtual card for...someone...in Comic Life. Seemed like such a good idea at the time...

I'll try to post the results thereof later.

Bye for now, and enjoy those portfolios,

Mr Grant

Oh yes, and I have decided to keep this blog live for next year for when ERO visit (!), so the address for the Room 2 Blog for next year is most likely to be 2011room2ola.blogspot.com. Or would you (not that any of you current parents will have children in Room 2 next year!) prefer room2ola2011.blogspot.com ?

Awards Practice Monday

Good afternoon,

A fairly laid back day today.

Off to Hillmorton to practice for this evening...

...and then Room 2 went to Room 1 to complete our Christmas crafts interchange, while Room 3 came to Room 2...possibly for the last time this year.

Oh, hang on, they're back in here tomorrow for a DVD!

CU tonight. Kapa Haka children @ 6:30, the rest @ 6:45.

No Sports Gear Tomorrow

Good evening,

Sorry, I forgot to mention in the newsletter...or to the children...that the children don't need their sports gear tomorrow.

No worries if they turn up in their sports gear though, they can just change into their uniform before we head off to Hillmorton.
