Friday Feast Day...

...sans a feast!

Good afternoon,

This morning's Mass was lovely. Well done Room 2.

After morning tea, we split up Rooms 2 and 10, with half going to either room. Both rooms undertook a Mary mosaic...

Then, we did a bit of bird watching...

After singing the National Anthem...

...and some free time we went home. Sans the traditional Feast Day treat. A little birdie told me that that might turn up on Monday.

Have a good weekend,

Mr Grant

No Assembly Tomorrow

Good evening,

Just while I remember, there will be no assembly tomorrow. The hall is will be chocka with phone books (a PTA thing).

We'll be on assembly next week, instead.

Kind regards,

Mr Grant

Assumption Thursday

Good afternoon,

Seeing as we are celebrating the Feast of the Assumption tomorrow, we decided to further the children's learning about it this afternoon.

Speaking of the Feast of the Assumption, the whole school is off to Mass at 0915 tomorrow. The children are to come to school in full school uniform tomorrow - leave the sports gear at home.

Following R.E., the children then got into small groups to sort these 1, 2, 3, 4 cards into the correct order.

CU in the morning,

Mr Grant

We are Responsible, Respectful, Room 2 Learners?

Good afternoon.

What's wrong with this picture?

Oh, hang on, that black jacket's mine! That aside...if you're missing any clothing, please check this ever growing pile here!

Prior to this shot, the children were beavering away re-enforcing their understanding of the water cycle.

Thank you, and good night.

Mr Grant

Oh yes, and in case you were wondering, I didn't see Green Reading Group this morning, so they won't have a book this evening.

Mixed Up Wednesday

Good afternoon,

And a lovely afternoon it is too.

This morning we had a bit of a change around in our morning routine. Instead of writing, we had R.E., where we discussed and practiced some of the rituals we participate in when we pray and enter church. Specifically, Genuflecting. So, the children grabbed hold of the new pod of cameras and away they went...

Later in the day, Blue Group shared a poem with us. Mum's Popcorn.

We ended the day outside, watching and participating in a bit of a skipping skills display with the rest of the J Team.

Bye for now,

Mr Grant

Oh, and just quickly, 100 House Points to those children who can demonstrate genuflecting in the morning.

Water Cycle Monday

Good evening,

Man, it's cold out there!

This afternoon, we discussed, and then acted out, the water cycle.

Here, the children are c___________ into clouds...

Earlier in the afternoon, Room 2 R.E. discussed birthday rituals, and then acted some of them out.

And for those of you at home...

All this after a wet lunch time inside, culminating in a game of Heads Down, Thumbs Up.

Bye for now,

Mr Grant
